> Argentina return to the Champions Trophy for their fourth appearance, including 2008. The South Americans previously featured in the 1987, 2003 and 2006 editions.
> Argentina's best finish at the Champions Trophy is fifth place, which they managed in 1987 and 2003.
> Argentina will be hoping to follow the example set by the national women's team, 'Las Leonas', who won the Women's Champions Trophy in Mönchengladbach last May.

Player Facts Germany
> Sebastian Draguhn will collect his 100th cap for Germany in the match against Argentina. He will become the eighth player in the German squad with at least a century of caps to his name.
> Only four players that won the 2007 Champions Trophy last November will not represent Germany in Rotterdam. Nicolas Emmerling, Oliver Hentschel, Maximilian Müller and Christian Schulte (goalkeeper) have been replaced by Philipp Zeller and Ulrich Bubolz (goalkeeper) as the squad has been reduced from 20 to 18 players.
> At an average of 25 years and 39 days, the Germans deploy the youngest squad, a group that is slightly younger than Argentina's which averages 25 years and 108 days.

> Holland is a popular place of business for Argentine players. Lucas and Matias Vila, Matias Paredes and Juan Martin López are players from the Argentine squad that plied their trade in the Dutch top flight last season.
