The following are facts on the 25 June Champions Trophy match between Spain and Argentina.

Champions Trophy Head-to-heads
> Spain and Argentina have met only twice at the Champions Trophy and both matches have finished in a 1-1 draw. Their first meeting in the competition took place in Amstelveen in 1987 and their most recent encounter dates back to 2006 in Terrassa.
> In that latter match, Spain's goal by Santi Freixa looked to be decisive but a last minute Tomás Argento goal deprived the hosts of a victory.

Team Facts Spain
> On Tuesday, 24 June, Spain drew their third match against Australia 1-1. They had to settle for a single goal, after tallying a whopping seven against South Korea on Sunday, 22 June.
> Spain have won more penalty corners (15) than any other nation in Rotterdam, but their conversion rate of 20% ranks joint lowest among participants in this tournament.

Team Facts Argentina
> Argentina moved to the top of the table in Rotterdam, having taken seven points from three matches. Holland dropped to second place with six points from three matches.
> Argentina lead the table in spite of having fewest goals in the tournament (5).
> The South Americans have earned their recent success to a strong defence that has allowed only three goals against Germany, Australia and Netherlands combined.
> Argentina's best finish in the competition is fifth place, a feat they have achieved twice.
> Argentina is the only nation that takes part in the 2008 Champions Trophy that will not be present at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Player Facts Spain
> Alex Fábregas can play his 150th international match for Spain.
> On the third matchday, Pol Amat lost his position as the tournament topscorer to Germany's Florian Keller. Amat's four goals have come from open play, whilst Keller has tallied two field goals, two penalty corners and a penalty stroke.
> Santi Freixa needs only one CT goal to tie the Spanish record in the competition, the 27 goals scored by Javier Arnau from 1993 to 1999.
> In the competition's all-time top scorer list, Freixa is ranked joint ninth with Dutchman Paul Litjens. Arnau is ranked eighth.

Player Facts Argentina
> Argentina have five different goalscorers on the scoresheet in Rotterdam, who have all scored one goal.
> Juan Gilardi's matchwinner against Holland was his first career CT goal, which ties him with Argentina coach Carlos Retegui in that respect. Retegui scored his only CT goal in Amstelveen in 2003.
