The following are facts on the 27 June Champions Trophy match between South Korea and Argentina.

Champions Trophy Head-to-heads
> This is the first ever meeting between these two nations at the Champions Trophy. Each other encounter in this tournament had a history to it before the match began.
> These countries have met twice in a major competition. In the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney these sides negotiated a 2-2 draw.
> Their other encounter at a main stage was the 1994 World Cup, where the final outcome was a 3-3 stalemate.

Team Facts South Korea
> South Korea are by far the most dangerous team on the penalty corner in Rotterdam, having converted six of 11 attempts for a 55% success rate. No other team has converted more than 33% of their attempts.
> On the fourth matchday, Korea upset hosts Netherlands, thereby ending their joint longest run of Champions Trophy matches without a victory (six).
> South Korea have both scored (12) and conceded (19) more goals than any other nation in the 2008 Champions Trophy.
> The only thing that has been decided after four matchrounds in the 2008 Champions Trophy is that South Korea will not be playing in the gold medal match in Rotterdam.
> In the 2008 Champions Trophy, the team that was the 'away team' in the 12 completed fixtures has failed to win any of those games. The 'home team' has collected 10 wins and two draws thus far. The teams assigned status of 'home team' for the final three pool matches are South Korea, Germany and Netherlands.

Team Facts Argentina
> Argentina are on course to secure their best finish in the Champions Trophy. They have finished fifth twice (1987, 2003) and sixth once (2006).
> Last year in Kuala Lumpur, Argentina were missing in action. In the history of the competition it has happened only five times that a nation reached the final without having participated in the previous edition.
> Those five campaigns were West Germany 1980, Netherlands 1989, Germany 2000, Spain 2004 and Australia 2005. The former three finished runners-up, the latter two won the trophy.
> Argentina is the only nation that takes part in the 2008 Champions Trophy that will not be present at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
> Argentina have scored twice from nine penalty corner attempts in Rotterdam, accounting for a 22% success rate.

Player Facts South Korea
> Jong Hyun Jang is Korea's top scorer in Rotterdam with four goals, all from penalty corners. This makes him the most lethal player from set pieces in this tournament.
> Jang's late matchwinner against Netherlands marked South Korea's 100th Champions Trophy goal since they made their debut in the competition in 1997.

Player Facts Argentina
> Seven players from the Argentina squad were linked to a Dutch domestic club last season, which means that they are no stranger when it comes to playing in Holland.
> Argentina have been without injured captain Matías Vila in their last three matches in this tournament.
> Argentina's six goals in the tournament have been scored by six different goalscorers.
