> Their pool encounter in Rotterdam on Tuesday, 24 June, resulted in a 4-3 Germany victory.
> The only draw in this encounter took place in Lahore in 1998, when the two nations reached a 3-3 stalemate.
> These countries are also slated to meet in a 15 August Group A match at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

> South Korea have won only one match in seven final Sundays to a Champions Trophy tournament. In 2000, they beat Spain to the bronze medal in Amstelveen.
> South Korea have scored at least two goals in each of their last 10 Champions Trophy matches.

Player Facts Germany
> Florian Keller is the joint leading goalscorer at the 2008 Champions Trophy having netted six times in his first five matches.
> Kunz was the last German to win the top scorer crown in a single Champions Trophy. He managed that by netting 10 times in Rotterdam in 2001.

Player Facts South Korea
> Jong Hyun Jang is tied with Germany's Florian Keller on six tournament goals, making the two joint top scorers at the 2008 Champions Trophy.
> Jang was joint tournament top scorer with Holland's Taeke Taekema in Kuala Lumpur in 2007. Only eight players have won multiple top scorer crowns in the competition.
> Jang would become the first Korean to join that group and the first since Spain's Santi Freixa (2005-2006) to acquire membership to this elite group.
